vaudreuil/Hudson Commuter Rail Line

The commuter train between Montréal and Hudson is operated by the Canadian Pacific Railway on behalf of the Agence Metropolitaine de Transport. While most trains terminate at Vaudreuil, one train per day in each direction operate between Lucien L'Allier and Hudson using a variety of equipment.

The Downtown terminus is Lucien L'Allier station located near the historic Windsor Station. Stops are made at Vendôme, Montréal-Ouest, Lachine, Dorval, Pine Beach, Valois, Pointe-Claire, Cedar Park, Beaconsfield, Beaurepaire, Baie d'Urfé, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Ile Perrot, Pincourt/Terrasse-Vaudreuil, Dorion, Vaudreuil, and Hudson. Service to Rigaud ended on June 30, 2010.

For the railfans among us the commuter trains operate on the Westmount, Vaudreuil and M&O; Subdivisions.

The January 1998 ice storm had its effect on the commuter line just like everything else with trains cancelled after January 6. According to a notice to passengers partial service was restored on January 19 with full service to Dorion restored on January 22. Service to Rigaud was expected to be returned to normal on Monday, January 26.
