Dorval

Located at the junctions of Autoroute 20 and Cote de Liesse Dorval is interconnected with a major West Island bus terminal and also VIA Rail Canada's Dorval station. Bus connections can be made to many West Island routes as well as trains for Ottawa and Toronto. Dorval International Airport is five minutes away by car.

There are two tracks at Dorval although there is sufficient width in the south platform to add a third track (making the centre a pass through track) and to the west is the connecting track to the CN. The connecting track used to be just to the east and was used for many years by the CN and CP pool trains to Toronto.

From an operational point of view Dorval used to be the point where trains moved from the Centralized Traffic Control used in the Montreal Terminal Zone to a combination of Automatic Block Signalling and Occupancy Control System. That changed in early 2014 when CTC was installed between Dorval and Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. CTC had previously been installed between Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue and Dorion.
